Okay... well, I am dying to post pictures of Valentine's day but until then, I will just share the "story." We drove about 2 1/2 hours to Hocking Hills. We stayed in at a "
Getaway-Cabin" for the night. (We stayed at Fox Run because the one we requested... had no electricity due to the crazy ice/snow weather.) Anyway - What could be more romantic than sitting in the Hot Tub watching the snow fall. :-) It was fun. Our ears and noses were a little chilly. Anyway - we had fondue for supper. We are big fans of fondue - we have two pots. We had a swiss cheese fondue (dipping carrots, brocolli, and bread) - oil (for meats) - and a milk chocolate fondue (angel food cake, banana, strawberries, marshmallows, graham crackers). It's so fun. If you have lots and lots of money and want to try fondue - visit the
Melting Pot. Well, the next day (Thursday) we had to leave at 11:00 so we got all bundled up and did some some hiking to Cedar Falls and Old Man's Cave. I have some AWESOME pictures of huge frozen waterfalls. Last we went to Conkle's Hollow and we did
letterboxing. We found four letterboxes. This is a hobby we picked up last summer. It's fun & FREE! Check out the web sites. There are probably some near where you live. (Look at the link to
Clues.) Last, we went to Rte 33 Diner. Authentic. With a real juke box. (I spent 4 dollars playing lots and lots of songs. ) It was very very fun and the people were great.
So - that's my story in a nutshell. It was very nice. We needed some time "away" from our house.... to destress and reconnect. Maybe you'll see pix - someday. :-)
