Tired. Tired. Tired. Tuesday.

This is our second load of strawberries from our strawberry plants. They are the juiciest strawberries ever! So much better than store bought...

Em had her 2 month appointment yesterday. She weighs 10 lbs 13 oz. She had to get 4 shots yesterday... and one oral immunization. Poor little munchkin. The nurses are brutal. They just jam that thing right in her thigh.... it's awful. And my little girl starts wailing. Not fun. But, we did survive. (No, I didn't cry.)

Emily has had a rough couple of nights lately. Although before the rough nights - she was going 6-7 hours at night. Yeah. Hopefully - we can get back on that schedule. ;-)

**** So tired am I - that I just realized it isn't Tuesday at all... but it is Wednesday. LOL.

The wedding....

The music has ended. The tables cleared. The people have dispersed. All that remains are memories and Mr. & Mrs. Jess Hotmire.

Thursday - many hours were spent cleaning flowers and decorating in a gym that was probably 85 degrees (because they weren't turning the air on until Saturday for the wedding). ??

Friday was a very exciting day for me. I left in our SUV (with Emily) and the wipers decided not to work... during a serious downpour. (This does happen on occasion.) So, I pull off and wait for the rain to let up. This happens to be when Emily decides to get fussy. Finally, I turn around and painstakingly through pouring rain... drive the 5 miles back to my house with no wipers. That is NOT fun. Try it sometime. So, I switch to Matt's little green car... which I can barely see over the dashboard because I am short and it sits really low... but hey - the wipers work. This vehicle gets me off the exit on 275 (about 10 minutes away from the church) and I hear a loud pop. Oh... you guessed it, I GOT A FLAT TIRE! It was a good day. Matt had to rescue me in his company truck. Also - I left my house early b/c of the rain and b/c I was planning to feed Emily before the rehearsal started. Needless to say, I arrived right on time... but everyone else was running late because of the weather. So, I did still have time to feed my baby but really needed valium. ha. ha.

The rehearsal was a tad disorganized. And this was made worse by the wedding coordinator (who came with the church). Although the WC did make up for this on Saturday by being very helpful. (Or maybe too helpful?). The rehearsal dinner was at The Montgomery Inn. After waiting um.... an hour or more... in a room that was probably 50 degrees - we did enjoy a delicious dinner. :-)

Saturday ... shock of all shock... the bride was late for her own wedding. (Okay - actually she was only late for the time set for pictures to start.) It was a beautiful day - weather wise. The church was right beside a covered bridge and stream - which made for some really great pictures. Well, except for the fact that we had to go on a serious hike in our high heels to get down near the water. Ask CT about that one. :-) The wedding was beautiful and I was honored to be a part of Kristen's special day.

Other highlights of the weekend would be the "straight jacket" dresses, the kamikazi cicadas, lacing the dresses....lacing the dresses, cleavage (am I allowed to write that on my blog?) and high heels. (My feet were very tired Saturday evening.) The weekend was full of some really good laughs with DJ and CT. Thanks to both of you. Too bad neither of you are here in Cincinnati. :-( Also, thanks to Tiffany for all of her help. What would I do without a sister like her? She helped me out a lot with my dress etc. Thanks a lot babe! Love you.

Reason #1,367 why I love duct tape

Friday afternoon.... I was changing Em's diaper and the tab ripped off. So, I decided that I was not going to waste a 20 cent diaper. I whipped out the duct tape and fixed it right up. Okay. I used the duct tape more for the picture... clear mailing tape would have worked also. :-)

Yes, my little munchkin has a herniated umbilical cord... thus, the serious outie look. Usually repairs itself by 18 months.

I have much to post about regarding the weekend. Kristen is officially married. Still recovering though. Check tomorrow or later today for pictures from this grand event.

I think people enjoy reading blogs, even blogs of people with whom they are not acquainted, because it is like reality tv or easier than reading an actual novel. One is able to peer in on another's life purely for entertainment purposes. What do you think?
