A new arrival

No this is not my new arrival. That would be the fastest 9 months ever. ha ha. I am about 14 weeks now. Just entering my 2nd trimester.


Congratulations to Jeff & Tina on their new arrival. Jordan Christopher arrived at 3:13 pm on October 18th. He weighed in at 6 lbs 10 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. Let's see... I suppose this little guy would be my cousin once removed. Here are a few pictures. I think that Jeff & Tina should start a blog so they can post pictures for those of us that live away. (Someone should tell them I said so.... :-P )

Here the little guy is practicing his "poochy lip" for the times when he is told "NO!" ha ha.



I think in this pictures little Jordan is getting ready to give his hairy grandpa a kiss.... pucker up Gramps!

I just wanted to share some facts that I read the other day. The book is Passion for the Heart of God by John Willis Zumwalt. Excellent book.

Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. Revelation 7:9-10

* Around 25% of Indonesia is Christian
* Sub-sahara Africa is 50% Christian
* Above 30% of South Korea is Christian
* In China followers of Jesus are growing at the rate of 20,000 a day..... A Minister of Internal affairds claims it to be more like 30,000 a day.

All around the world 178,000 people become Christians every single day. These are overwhelming numbers. We cannot even comprehend these numbers, but God is advancing the Kingdom of Heaven into these dark regions, and people are responding in droves. Why is it often our perspective that God is not doing much? We are clawing and scratching just to get a few converts, and normally they are converts from the church down the street, or they are backsliders who were in our Sunday School years ago."

"If you look to the horizon, you can see the dawning of that day John wrote of in Revelation, when the redeemed of every tongue, tribe and nation are gathered around the throne."
