Encouraging.....

I just wanted to share some facts that I read the other day. The book is Passion for the Heart of God by John Willis Zumwalt. Excellent book.

Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. Revelation 7:9-10

"In AD 100, the church was stirring it up. They were turning the world upside down..... Back then, when they were turning the world upside down, there were 360 non-Christians for every Bible-believing Christian....What do you think the number is today?..... 500,000 to one, one million to one.... The real number is less than seven non-Christians to every true, Bible-believing Christian. ... We are winning."

* Around 25% of Indonesia is Christian
* Sub-sahara Africa is 50% Christian
* Above 30% of South Korea is Christian
* In China followers of Jesus are growing at the rate of 20,000 a day..... A Minister of Internal affairds claims it to be more like 30,000 a day.

All around the world 178,000 people become Christians every single day. These are overwhelming numbers. We cannot even comprehend these numbers, but God is advancing the Kingdom of Heaven into these dark regions, and people are responding in droves. Why is it often our perspective that God is not doing much? We are clawing and scratching just to get a few converts, and normally they are converts from the church down the street, or they are backsliders who were in our Sunday School years ago."

"If you look to the horizon, you can see the dawning of that day John wrote of in Revelation, when the redeemed of every tongue, tribe and nation are gathered around the throne."
