Dayton, Ohio - IHC
Why can't I find anything about IHC on the Internet? COME ON PEOPLE... they must have a website. Any business without a website is not worthy of my patronage. ha ha. Can anyone direct me to a web page to see the daily schedule? I am trying to see if I can go up and if so what is going on at that time?

cops. pet peeves continued.
It all began one Tuesday morning. I finally found a "new" doctor since we moved a year and a half ago and made an appointment. (mostly because of pain in my knee...) Anyway - I hate going to the doctor. Why? I don't really know. I always rehearse what I will say in my head so I don't sound stupid. Yeah. I know I am weird. Anyway - I wasn't exactly sure of the office location so I was a bit anxious.
Let me just preface the next part of my story - by saying that the police in our little town sit at ONE intersection all day. That's all they do! Needless to say I went through this intersection - looked down and saw that I was going 40 and started to slow down. Suddenly - I see lots of PRETTY Christmasy lights in my rear view mirror. So - I pulled off in this church parking lot. And the cop goes flying past me. (Meanwhile I am relieved and thanking Jesus - that it wasn't me. My relief was short lived.) I pull out of the church parking lot and head down this hill - to see the cop by the road with one car pulled off and he is motioning me in behind. Two for the price of one - I guess. Anyway - I would just like to say that LIFE IS NOT FAIR! I am 26 years old and have never been pulled over - never even given a warning. Actually I basically told the cop that but he didn't really care. I have a "cousin" who was pulled over many times as a 16 year old driver and given MANY warnings. Needless to say - I pulled away LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT and with a PRICEY TICKET!!! The sad thing is I was doing 40 in a 25 - hardly reckless driving and not even a good story to blog about. .... I mean 80 in a 55 - that's a good story. ha ha. Now my spotless driving record (not counting accidents - ha ha) is over. 26 good years. I guess I am officially part of the "club" now. My complaint is that I have had cops drive much more reckless than 40 in a 25!!!!! - practically run me off the road and speed by me (without their lights on) - where is the justice in that... Whatever. They are "above the law" because they enforce the law.
The good thing is that I really like my new doctor. She was very friendly and personable. I basically have "runner's knee"...overuse....need to rest it, ice it, and get a brace. Rest - not an easy thing for me to do. So - after my traumatic morning - I treated my self to subway on the way home since it was too warm to really enjoy a Starbucks. ;-)
And she lived happily bitter after.

LET IT ALL OUT.......................
Here is my attempt at interactive posts. Please vent your personal pet peeves here. Here are just a few of mine....
1. People who change lanes without signalling
2. People who don't UPDATE their blogs.... I couldn't resist
3. Cell phones going off in church...if you are not grown up enough to control your phone, you shouldn't have one.
4. Dogs in the house. (I nanny and clean at houses with dogs inside. eeewww-yuck! Thankfully those places are not my home!)
5. People who do not use cell phone etiquette in public/group settings.
6. Back to the dogs..... People who allow their dog to sniff in... shall we say "all sorts of places" once you enter their home. It may be hard for DOG LOVERS to understand that not everyone loves dogs nor does everyone like dogs licking their shoes/clothes, etc.
I am a pretty easy going person for the most part. I am a peacemaker at heart. Please let me know if you agree-disagree-or have a pet peeve of your own.

Weekend
Well, this is my post to keep up with all the "other" bloggers who update their blogs regularly. (You know who you are...Tiffany...Myranda...) Anyway. We had a weekend that was TOO short. But, thankfully I was off at the Nursing Home. It was a gorgeous weekend. Beautiful weather. The only downer was...... that my mom, brother, and sister-in-law WENT TO A JOSH GROBAN CONCERT without me. I suppose it would have been a rather long drive to Rochester, NY. Glad they had a nice time though. :-P
After I came home from working on Friday - I decided to clean the cars inside AND out. It was great weather. Anyway - so thank you so much for all the Christmas gifts for Matt. I put the Rain-X, Armorall wipes, and Armorall Car wash to good use. Hmm.... I suppose the next thing would be..... How do I get MATT to use his gifts? ha ha. Just kidding. He actually did help by vacuuming both the cars out. Our cars are just beeeeeuuuuutiful now. I did a good job - if I do say so myself.
Friday night, we went to a Cincinnati Cyclones hockey game. I'll work on posting some pix. They were tied 2-2 and had a shoot out. Cyclones won the shoot out. Yeah.
Sunday afternoon we took a wonderful bike ride. 10 miles. Then, we cooked some chicken and steak on the grill outside. I am so thrilled at warm sunny weather. Get me outside. I have been locked up TOOOOOOO long. Excuse me. Excuse me. COULD YOU LET ME OUT OF HERE?
