I would just like to say that it is HOT! Too hot for my comfort. Well, especially when you do not utilize an air conditioner. You see.... our house has central air but it needs some work - that hasn't been on the top of the priority list. And it isn't really worth putting in many air conditioners. So, we sweat, sweat, sweat, and then when we finish doing that - we sweat some more. (I just want a little sympathy.... some ooohs and awwwwss.) ha ha. But, I think that in the last two days I have lost 2 pounds. Seriously. We do have a small air conditioner in our bedroom for sleeping.
I watched Hotel Rwanda recently. Very interesting if you are into history or care what goes on in the world. I remember my history teaching in 9th grade always talking to us about the Hutu and the Tutsi people in Africa. That would have been precisely when the genocide was taking place. 1 million people died in an estimated 100 days. Tragic. My brain isn't functioning well enough to do a significant analysis of the movie versus history. See what you think.
I recently read John Maxwell's book - Winning with People. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who ever plans on interacting with another human being..... ha ha. That would be you and you .... and you.... and you. Some of it hopefully would be.... "duh" information and yet - it doesn't hurt to review practical principles for interacting with others.
Well, I will be away from blog-land for awhile. I am going on vacation to see Matt's family and then see my family. We will do a significant amount of hiking and camping. If we are lucky.... some rapelling. :-)
Any comments on the heat? Or Hotel Rwanda? Or maybe Winning with People?
