I am a really big fan of Nicole Johnson's dramatic skits. She performs three every year at Women of Faith & later they are available to purchase on DVD. I think that I nearly own them all. Anyway
Nicole Johnson wrote this skit and actually the first time she performed it was in Cincinnati at a WOF Conference. Anyway - it became a big hit and she even performed it at a Revlon Run/Walk for Cancer before 40,000 people in Times Square. This is powerful. Grab a box of kleenex.

Books. Books. I LOVE books!
I love books. I cannot get enough of books. Thankfully - I have found some time to read since Em's birth. This is been so good for my heart (and sanity). I need to read. After supper is cleaned up, I've wandered around picking up miscellaneous items around my house, hubby's lunch is packed, Emily is to bed . . . It is worth it to lose oh.... at least an hour of sleep to lie in bed and be sucked into the pages of a good book. Aaaah. The good life. :-) So.. here is what I have been reading.

This is a well written book. Good content... but definitely written by a man with a Ph.D. (I didn't "feel" alot of emotion from him - just a lot of facts etc.) It would not be number one on my recommendation list.

I could not say enough good about Taviano's book. This is a book written by a Mom for first time Moms. She nails it everytime. She knows exactly how a new Mom feels and all the changes to deal with. (It is definitely NOT written by a man. No offense to any men. But we are different.) Buy this book for ANYONE you know that is going to have their first baby and enjoys good books. It's like sitting down with a latte and your best friend. She reassures the reader that they are normal and what they feel is very normal. FIVE STAR BOOK!!!
This is another five star book written for Moms. It is a short book - easy to read. Johnson creates an incredible analogy with motherhood. I will not say much lest I spoil this book for you. Nicole Johnson is one of my favorite writers & dramatists so I am a bit partial. If you are feeling worn out as a Mom - get this book! It will encourage and inspire you.

This is an awesome book. Very intriguing book about nine different spiritual temperaments... each one discusses a different way to approach and worship God. Intellectuals, Contemplative, Enthusiasts, Caregivers, Activists, Ascetics, Traditionalists, Sensates, and Naturalists. Highly recommended book. I also stumbled across this assessment quiz if you have a few minuntes - it doesn't take too long. I am a caregiver and naturalist with intellectualist not too far behind.
